When receiving automotive parts shipped via carriers like UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, OnTrac, or other express services, it's important to know how to handle any potential damage. While these companies provide fast and reliable service, they may not always handle your packages with the utmost care.
Inspection Process: What to Do When Your Package Arrives
- Don’t Judge by the Box: A damaged shipping box doesn’t necessarily mean the item inside is damaged. Please open the package and inspect the item carefully.
- Report Damage Quickly: If you find any damage, it’s crucial to report it within 72 hours of receiving the package. This is a strict requirement for processing damage claims.
- Document Everything: Take detailed photos from different angles of both the damaged product and the shipping box. Be sure to include photos of the label as well.
- Contact Us: Fill out our damage claim form in our Support Center, use our Live Chat, or email us at support@jmautoracing.com to start the process.
The Damage Claim Process
Once you’ve reported the damage:
- We File a Claim: We will file the damage claim with the shipping carrier on your behalf.
-
Replacement or Refund:
- If you choose a replacement, it will be shipped within 24 hours of the claim being accepted by the carrier. We won’t make you wait for the claim to be finalized.
- If you prefer a refund, we must wait for the claim process to be completed, which usually takes around 7-10 business days. The refund will then be processed to your original payment method.
Important Disclaimer
- Do Not Install Damaged Items: It’s essential that you do not install or attempt to install any damaged items. Doing so may void your ability to file a damage claim.
