At JM Auto Racing, we understand that sometimes you may need to return or exchange a product. Here’s how each process works and what you need to know:
Returns
A return involves sending back a product for a refund. Here are the key points for handling returns:
- Authorization: A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is required for all returns.
- Packaging: Ensure the item is securely packed in the original manufacturer’s packaging and is in the same condition as when it was received. If the product is damaged from installation or shipping, it may be rejected or you may be charged for the damaged parts.
- Restocking Fee: Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. However, if the return is due to an error on JM Auto Racing’s part, this fee will be waived.
- Shipping Costs: If the product was eligible for free shipping, the original shipping cost will be deducted from your refund unless otherwise stated by JM Auto Racing.
- Non-returnable Items: Products that have been used, fully/partially installed, or classified as special order, custom wheels, electronics, and non-EPA compliant items cannot be returned. In some cases, a 25% restocking fee may apply for non-EPA compliant products.
- Refund Process: Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days after the returned item is received and inspected by our warehouse.
Exchanges
An exchange involves replacing the returned product with another item. Here’s how exchanges are handled:
- Authorization: Like returns, exchanges also require an RMA number.
- Packaging: The item must be securely packed in its original packaging and be in new condition. Damaged items from installation or shipping may result in rejection or additional charges.
- Shipping Costs: The original shipping cost will be deducted if the item was eligible for free shipping, unless the exchange is due to an error by JM Auto Racing. In such cases, the shipping fees will be waived.
- No Restocking Fee: There is no restocking fee for exchanges. However, shipping fees will still apply unless otherwise stated by JM Auto Racing.
- Non-returnable Items: Similar to returns, products that have been used, fully/partially installed, or classified as special order, custom wheels, electronics, and non-EPA compliant items cannot be exchanged.
